On Friday, 21 June 2019, 116 of our IHRP certified professionals attended the Learning Journey at Microsoft.
Nishanth Satheesan (Workplace Analytics Lead, Asia at Microsoft) gave an insightful sharing of how HR could take advantage of data analytics in making business decisions. Nishanth gave an overview of the workplace analytics software and explained that through the usage of data in the dashboard, HR professionals could gain further insights in understanding the employee engagement rate and tap on these data for insights to improve the employees’ working styles and increase engagement.
It was an informative and interactive session as our certified professionals were given the opportunity to learn more about the importance and application of data analytics. During the panel discussion where Nishanth, Mayank Parekh (IHRP CEO) and Kwon Hye Jin (Country HR Director, Singapore and SEA NM) participated in, some of the key insights shared was that data can be used to validate information and it serves the purpose of being an enabler. In addition, decisions should not be made based on pure assumptions but be made through the analysis of data outcomes.
