- IHRP reserves the right to assign alternative assessment date due to unforeseen circumstances. Such a change of date initiated by IHRP will not be subject to any re-scheduling fee.
- Upon notification of the application acceptance, candidate is allowed thirty (30) calendar days before the assessment date to change competency assessment date without incurring a fee. No rescheduling is allowed five (5) days before the competency assessment date. Rescheduling fee is chargeable thereafter.
- For full-time students applying for IHRP-CA certification, you will need to attach supporting proof of studentship such as:
- course transcript; or
- a letter from school stating your student status and course enrolled

- Upon notification of successful advancement to On-Site Assessment, the candidate is allowed thirty (30) calendar days before the date of competency assessment to change competency assessment date without incurring a fee. The rescheduling fee is chargeable thereafter.

- Upon notification of the application acceptance, the candidate is allowed thirty (30) calendar days before the assessment date to change competency assessment date without incurring a fee. Rescheduling fee is chargeable thereafter.
- Any rescheduling of Assessments must be made, and fees paid, no later than five (5) calendar days before the scheduled competency assessment date or start date of the remote assessment window, failing which “no-show” policy applies (please refer to “No-Show” policy in section D below).
- A re-assessment fee will be chargeable to candidates who wish to re-sit for a paper. There is no minimum re-assessment interval between the first assessment attempt and subsequent re-assessments. However, candidates will not be able to take the exam more than three (3) times in a year.
- Re-assessment comprises of all components taken during the prior attempt. For example, for a CP who fails LLP2 and HRL2, he/she is required to take both LLP2 and HRL2 again
- On-Site Fee is applicable to candidates selecting the On-Site Assessment option and includes test centre fees, invigilation fees and other administrative charges.
- A candidate who cancels no later than five (5) calendar days before the scheduled assessment date or start date of remote assessment window will receive a full refund less $86.40 administrative fee. Any bank charges resulting from the refund will be borne by the candidate.
- A candidate who does not reschedule or cancel the scheduled assessment will be considered as “no show” (please refer to “No-Show” policy in section D below).
- A candidate whose IHRP Assessment date has been confirmed, but does not reschedule, cancel or attend the IHRP assessment will be considered a ‘no-show” and will forfeit all Assessment Fee.
- If the candidate requests to be rescheduled following a “no-show”, he or she will need to repay the full Assessment Fee before being rescheduled.
Fees are due according to published assessment calendar and/or in correspondence from IHRP. The fees stated in this policy are correct at the time of publication. IHRP reserves the right to alter fees without prior notice.

IHRP will need to be notified in writing for any exceptional circumstances no later than five (5) calendar days before the scheduled Assessment date. Such requests should be communicated via hello@ihrp.sg, stating candidate name (as per application), date of assessment and reason(s) for the exceptions. IHRP may request for supporting documents which include:
- Hospitalisation or medical certificates issued by registered hospitals or clinics under the Law of the Republic of Singapore (candidate or immediate family members (spouse, child or parent))
- Death Certificate due to the death in the immediate family
- Police Reports for disabling accidents
- Court appearance
- Unexpected National Service mobilisation
- Unexpected overseas business travel
IHRP may, at its discretion, approve a request to reschedule or cancel an Competency Assessment for a candidate on a case-by-case basis. Relevant rescheduling or cancellation fees may apply.
* A candidate’s inability to take the IHRP Assessment due to work commitments or insufficient preparation will not be considered under exceptions.
Recertification ensures that your skills and experience remain current, and demonstrates your commitment to professional development. To remain IHRP-certified, you will need to go through recertification every 3 years.
Certified HR professionals who wish to extend their certifications are required to submit a recertification application at: https://ihrp.microsoftcrmportals.com/
To recertify, you will need to submit:
- Continuing Professional Development (CPD): Supporting documents of continuing professional development activities undertaken (total of 90 hours)
- Statement of Professional Conduct: Declaration of compliance with the IHRP Code of Professional Conduct
- HR-related work: Latest up-to-date CV or LinkedIn profile URL

- Certification is valid for three years upon receiving the successful outcome of the recertification application.
- Recertification fees may be paid on a yearly basis or once every 3 years. An administration fee of $27 will be applicable for payments made on a yearly basis.
- A renewal of certificate is required to remain certified. A renewal fee for IHRP-CP and IHRP-SP will apply. Kindly note, you must be currently an IHRP certified professional for the entire period of certification to be eligible for re-certification.

What is remote proctoring?
Remote proctoring is an option that offers our IHRP candidates the convenience and flexibility to take the assessment at their homes or offices while maintaining the integrity and credibility of IHRP certification.
What to expect for assessment conducted through remote proctoring?
- Before the assessment day: Candidates are encouraged to conduct a system check to ensure that their device and connectivity meet the minimum system requirements.
- Pre-assessment check: On the day of the assessment, candidates will be asked to show their identification document (NRIC or passport) to verify their identity. Candidates will also be asked to use their webcam to scan the room where they will be taking their assessment.
- During the assessment: Candidates will be monitored throughout the assessment session and the entire assessment session will be recorded. If candidate engages in any of the acts listed as misconduct, an incident report will be submitted to IHRP.
- In the event of misconduct: Depending on the gravity of the misconduct possible sanctions that IHRP will take include but are not limited to:
• Voiding the certification if certification was already achieved at the time of audit• Voiding the competency assessment attempt
• Banning the candidate from taking IHRP certification assessment
• Depending on the route of certification, employers / schools may be informed of misconduct
What are the technical requirements needed for remote proctoring?
- Laptop or desktop computer: 1GB ram & above, 1GHz or faster processor. Please note that due to firewall configurations on corporate laptops, only personal laptops should be used.
- Webcam: able to support a minimum of 320 x 240 recording of colour video at 15fps
- Speakers
- Microphone (integrated or external)
- Internet connection: Active internet connection with a minimum speed of 512 Kbps
- Operating system: Windows Vista & above / Mac OS X (10.6+)
- Internet Browsers: Google Chrome (78+)/Mozilla Firefox (70+)/Microsoft Edge (44+)

What are the test environment requirements for remote proctoring?
- A comfortable, private, and well-lit room, which is free from any noise and distractions.
- No other person including children or animals will be permitted in the test room during the assessment.
- Candidate is to be seated at a desk, facing directly in front of the webcam and to make sure to stay visible throughout the session.
- The desk must be clear of any materials and electronic devices (unless otherwise specified).
