The Institute for Human Resources Professionals (IHRP) is a professional body set up by tripartite partners (Ministry of Manpower, National Trades Union Congress and Singapore National Employers Federation) to professionalise and strengthen the HR practice in Singapore. IHRP is proud to be appointed a Skills Development Partner by SkillsFuture Singapore, to advance the national skills agenda for HR professionals and enterprises.
As part of IHRP’s commitment towards collaboration, knowledge sharing, and collective growth, the first initiative of this partnership to be launched will be the use of SkillsFuture Credit to support the pursuit of IHRP Certifications, Recertifications and Upgrades. The IHRP Certification will ensure that HR professionals are equipped with future-ready skills, and IHRP-certified HR professionals can also empower their organisations with progressive people practices, to allow them to thrive amid a rapidly changing business environment.

New and aspiring HR professional and HR consultant with less than 3 years of HR working experience and supports the HR team in day-to-day HR operations and HR intervention strategies. Also applicable for students and mid-career switchers who are interested in pursuing HR-related roles.

IHRP Certified Professional: IHRP-CP
HR Professional with more than 3 years of HR working experience, 150 HR training hours and responsible for developing and implementing HR policies and programmes to deliver HR services and operate the HR function. Consultants at an equivalent experience level whose work is directly relevant to HR is also eligible.

IHRP Senior Professional: IHRP-SP
Seasoned and experienced HR leader with more than 8 years of HR working experience, 2 years of strategic experience, 150 HR training hours and responsible for leading a HR function, designing and developing HR policies and programmes, as well as provide day-to-day guidance to the team for HR service delivery. Consultant at an equivalent experience level whose work is directly relevant to HR is also eligible.

You will be able to use your SkillsFuture Credit for upgrade fees from IHRP Certified Associate (IHRP-CA) to Certified Professional (IHRP-CP) and upgrade fees from IHRP Certified Professional (IHRP-CP) to Senior Professional (IHRP-SP). No, you cannot use your SkillsFuture Credit for rescheduling.
Yes, you can use your SkillsFuture Credit for new Certification, Recertification and Upgrade. You will also be able to use it more than once for the same type of certification. For example, you can use it for Recertification in 2023 and you can use it again for another Recertification in 2026. The amount of SkillsFuture Credit you can use is subjected to the amount of credit available in your account.
From 11 December 2023 onwards, you may choose to utilise your SkillsFuture Credit for new Certification (applies to IHRP Certified Associate (IHRP-CA), IHRP Certified Professional (IHRP-CP) and IHRP Senior Professional (IHRP-SP) only).
- Sign up at the IHRP portal.
- Click ‘Apply Now’ and complete eligibility.
- Select your preferred slot.
- In the payment page, click on “Use my SkillsFuture Credit” button and you will be directed to log in via your Singpass to the SkillsFuture Portal. Thereafter, you may enter the amount that you wish to claim.
- Proceed with payment for remaining balance; if applicable.
Please remember to check the SkillsFuture Credit that you can utilise for the claim in your account. Should there be insufficient funds, you will be subsequently contacted to top up the outstanding balance.
From 11 December 2023 onwards, you may choose to utilise your SkillsFuture Credit for Recertification.
- Log in at the IHRP portal and navigate to ‘My Certificates & Badges’ section.
- Click ‘Recertify Now’.
- Validate your Continuing Professional Development (CPD) details and upload your latest CV. You will need to upload the Self-Declaration Form if you have not clocked at least 45 CPD hours.
- In the payment page, enter the amount that you wish to claim from your SkillsFuture Credit.
- Proceed with payment for remaining balance; if applicable.
Please remember to check the SkillsFuture Credit that you can utilise for the claim in your account. Should there be insufficient funds, you will be subsequently contacted to top up the outstanding balance.

- Go to MySkillsFuture
- Click on ‘Submit SkillsFuture Credit Claims’
- Login with your Singpass
- You can view the breakdown of your available SkillsFuture Credit balance after login
No, you cannot use your Additional SkillsFuture Credit (Mid-Career Support) for IHRP Certifications, Recertifications, and Upgrades to make a claim for your assessment fee. Click here to find out where you can use your Additional SkillsFuture Credit (Mid-Career Support).
You must submit your claim via MySkillsFuture within 60 days before the selected date of your assessment slot (date inclusive). Please note that claims are only eligible for payment made on 11 December 2023 onwards.
There is no limit to the amount you can use from your existing SkillsFuture Credit. This is subjected to the amount of credit available in your account.
If you have already made an initial self-payment in full, you will not be able to use SkillsFuture Credit for the certification. You can still use your SkillsFuture Credit for subsequent applications.
There will not be a refund granted if you have chosen to submit a claim to use your SkillsFuture Credit for your Certification fee.
If you choose to cancel your assessment due to unforeseen reasons, you will need to pay a cancellation fee of $86.40 and this must be done no later than 5 calendar days before the start of the assessment. If you make a cancellation less than 5 calendar days before the start of the assessment, the full assessment fees will be forfeited.
Please note that you cannot use your SkillsFuture Credit to make payment for cancellation fee.
If you need to reschedule your assessment, please cancel your application and reapply for the invoice to be generated with the correct date of assessment.
If you have submitted your claim for Skillsfuture Credit, you also need to cancel your existing claim on the SkillsFuture portal, and re-submit a new claim based on the new assessment date.
