Mr Wong Kim Yin

Mr Wong has over 20 years of leadership experience in the energy sector and in investment management. He is instrumental in leading Sembcorp’s transformation of its portfolio from brown to green.
 
Mr Wong was the group chief executive officer of Singapore Power (SP Group) from 2012 to 2020. Prior to SP Group, he led investments and project development in his roles at Temasek International and The AES Corporation.
 
Mr Wong is the chairman of SkillsFuture Singapore, and serves on the boards of the National Research Foundation, the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore and DSO National Laboratories. He is also a board member of China Venture Capital Fund Corporation.
 
Mr Wong holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science & Information Systems from the National University of Singapore (NUS) and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

Mr Robert Chong (IHRP-MP)

Mr Chong oversees the Group’s human resource, integrated communications, health, safety, security and environment, procurement, and corporate secretariat functions. He has over 30 years of senior management experience in HR, organisational transformation and diverse corporate functions supporting business growth.
 
He helmed senior roles at various global companies such as the Shangri-La Group, Keppel Corporation, Temasek International and Shell (Asia Pacific & Middle East).
 
He is certified as a Master Professional by the Institute for Human Resource Professionals.
 
Mr Chong holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from NUS and an MBA in Accountancy from NTU. He has also completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School, USA, and other senior leadership programmes at INSEAD, France, and IMD, Switzerland.

Ms Deanna Ong (IHRP-MP)

Deanna Ong is Chief People Officer and Managing Director at GIC, responsible for Human Resource & Organization, and Corporate Governance for the GIC group. GIC is a global investment management company established to manage the foreign reserves of the Government of Singapore, investing in public equities, fixed income, real estate, private equity and infrastructure assets.
 
As Chief People Officer, Deanna oversees people strategy to attract, develop and retain talent for enterprise performance, seeded with the right values and culture for GIC. As part of the Group Executive Committee, her areas of focus include talent strategy, leadership development, reward and engagement for organization effectiveness. As Company Secretary, she oversees corporate governance and client relations.
 
Deanna was previously Director Finance from 2009 to 2014, where she headed the Finance Group responsible for financial management across GIC’s portfolio, covering financing arrangements for assets, tax planning, investment holding structures, accounting and management of revenue and expenditure.
 
Deanna is a board member of Swiss Re Ltd, and an advisory board member of Nanyang Business School. She holds a Bachelor of Accountancy from the Nanyang Technological University of Singapore and completed the Stanford Executive Programme.

Mr Dave Ulrich

Dave Ulrich is the Rensis Likert Professor at the Ross School of Business, University of Michigan and a partner at the RBL Group, a consulting firm focused on helping organizations and leaders deliver value. He has published over 200 articles and book chapters and over 30 books. He edited Human Resource Management 1990-1999, served on editorial board of 4 Journal and on the Board of Directors for Herman Miller (16 years), has spoken to large audiences in 90 countries; performed workshops for over half of the Fortune 200; coached successful business leaders, and is a Distinguished Fellow in the National Academy of Human Resources. He is known for continually learning, turning complex ideas into simple solutions, and creating real value to those he works with in three fields.
 
Organization. With co-authors, he has influenced thinking about modern organizations (Reinventing the Organization) by empirically showing how organization delivers 4 times business results over talent (Victory Through Organization), defined organizations as bundles of capabilities (Organization Capability) and worked to delineate capabilities of talent management (Why of Work; Talent Accelerator), culture change (GE Workout), learning (Learning Organization Capability), and collaboration (Boundaryless Organization).
 
Leadership. With colleagues, he has also articulated the basics of effective leadership (Leadership Code and Results Based Leadership), connected leadership with customers (Leadership Brand), shown how leadership delivers market value (Why the Bottom Line Isn’t), shapes investor expectations with an ability to measure leadership (Leadership Capital Index), and synthesized ways to ensure that leadership aspirations turn into actions (Leadership Sustainability).
 
Human Resources. He and his colleagues have shaped the HR profession and he has been called the “father of modern HR” and “HR thought leader of the decade” by focusing on HR outcomes, governance, competencies, and practices (HR Champions; HR Value Added; HR Transformation; HR Competencies; HR Outside In). He spearheaded a “gift” book on the future of HR (The Rise of HR) distributed to over 1,500,000 HR professionals), in which 70 thought leaders freely shared their insights.

Ms Doris Sohmen-Pao

Doris is Chief Executive Officer of the Human Capital Leadership Institute (HCLI). Doris joins HCLI from the Singapore Public Service Division where she was the Director for External Outreach, with a focus on developing relationships and synergies between the public and private sector.
 
Before joining the Singapore Civil Service, Doris was one of the founding leaders of Yale-NUS College. Her first role at the College was the EVP of administration where she set up and oversaw the admissions, finance, human resources, public affairs and grounds and building departments. Her last posting at Yale-NUS was as the EVP for Institutional Projects - a role which covered public affairs, institutional research, alumni affairs and external outreach.
 
Doris’ experience spans industries and geographies. She was the Director of Human Capital at Bain & Company, and before that, the Director of the MBA Program at INSEAD and then at Singapore Management University, where she created and launched the MBA program. She was also briefly at Ngee Ann Polytechnic as a Visiting Lecturer. Her experience also extends to working in multiple media ventures, including an internet start-up, Time Inc. International, Hearst New Media and Price Waterhouse LLP in their telecom and media division. Over the years, she has worked in Hong Kong, London, New York, France and Singapore.
 
Doris graduated with a B.A. in Politics and Environmental Studies from Princeton University and an MBA from Harvard University. She has experience working on a number of boards of educational institutions including Princeton University, United World College (SEA), and the INSEAD Advisory Committee of Southeast Asia. Currently, she serves on the Institute for Human Resource Professionals, Yong Siew Toh Conservatory, and Singapore National Gallery Boards. She is also an EXCO member of the International Women’s Forum Singapore. She is Korean-American.

Ms Renata Janini Dohmen (IHRP-MP)

Renata Janini Dohmen is a global award-winning senior executive in Strategic Human Resources. Based in Singapore, Renata has over 30 years of professional experience in Latin America and Asia Pacific countries, partnering with and helping businesses and talent prepare for the Future of Work.
 
Internationally recognized for her individual achievements and for the successes of people and organizations under her leadership, Renata is currently responsible for attracting and recruiting thousands of entry-level talent to SAP worldwide and brings her extensive experience from the many years she has served as Head of Human Resources for American and European organizations across Asia Pacific and Japan. Before moving with her family to Singapore in 2011, Renata developed an outstanding career in Latin America, where she held country and regional positions of increased responsibility in Training & Development and Human Resources Business Partnership.
 
Renata holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration and most recently has been conferred the distinguished title of IHRP-MP by the Institute of Human Resources Professionals in Singapore. Renata is a regular speaker in international events and an active contributor to the growth and development of Human Resources.

Kwang Cheak is the Chief Executive Officer of the Agency for Integrated Care (AIC).
 
He started his career in the Singapore Public Service and spent more than a decade in the Singapore Administrative Service, serving in various appointments in the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Manpower and JTC Corporation. He subsequently joined McDonald’s Singapore where he was the Senior Director for Operations, Business Planning and Human Resources, before he became the Assistant Executive Director in the Singapore National Employers Federation. He was also the Director for Human Resources and Talent Development in MOH Holdings Pte Ltd, the holding company for the six public healthcare clusters in Singapore, and the Chief Human Resources Officer at NTUC Fairprice Cooperative Ltd in Singapore.

Ms Low Peck Kem (IHRP-MP)

As the Chief HR Officer and Advisor (Workforce Development) for the Public Service Division, Prime Minister’s Office of Singapore, Peck Kem is responsible for professionalising HR in the public sector of 16 Ministries and more than 60 Statutory Boards.
 
She is also the elected President of the Singapore Human Resources Institute (SHRI).
 
Prior to her current appointment at the PSD, she was the Senior Director for HR & OD for a not for profit organization, The Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) based in Geneva, where she was responsible for HR, OD, Legal, Internal Audit and Corporate Administration for the 15 global offices at GAIN.
 
Peck Kem has the unique combination of experience from a quality engineer to manufacturing manager to VP Human resources in the private sector (Tandon, Western Digital, Hewlett Packard, Agilent Technologies & Avago Technologies), a Divisional Director of National HR Division in the Singapore Ministry of Manpower in the public sector, a Senior Director ODHR in GAIN, a not for profit organization based in Geneva to now a Chief HR Officer for the Singapore Public Service Division. This combination has widened her perspective in private, public and NGO sectors, and viewing the leadership from an Asian and European perspective.
 
Peck Kem has a Masters in Human Resource Management from Rutgers University and a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from NTU. She is also a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) and IHRP Master Professional.

Mr Dean Tong

Mr Tong joined UOB in 2018. He heads Group Human Resources. He holds a Masters of Business Administration from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, USA. Mr Tong has 24 years of leadership, talent, and transformation project experience across Asia, Europe and the Americas in the financial services, consumer goods, and telecommunications industries.

Ms Pearl Yu

Pearl Yu is Director at Keystone Cable, a leading Singapore-based cable manufacturer and supplier for infrastructure, data communications, and industrial sectors. Pearl drives human capital development, branding and i4.0 transformation strategies for the growth and sustainability of the business.
 
Prior to joining Keystone Cable, Pearl was with Roche Pharmaceuticals on its global rotation program, with roles in Global Marketing, Product Marketing and Sales Analytics. Pearl began her career at Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB), where she focused on bringing in Medical Technology FDIs into Singapore.
 
Pearl has a ScB. Biomedical Engineering degree from Brown University and an MBA from INSEAD.

Ms Justina Tan

Justina Tan provides strategic leadership to ensure employees of Changi Airport Group would have the competency and commitment to accomplish the organisation’s business plans and objectives.
 
She has more than 20 years of experience in the airport industry and has held senior positions in various airport business functions from international relations, airline marketing, airport retail and airport consultancy. She was appointed to head the Human Resources function to drive the transformation of the HR function, and has been in the HR field since 2004. She has a passion for organizational development work, and over the years she has drove cultural initiatives, initiated a more structured approach for talent management and leadership development, spearheaded employee engagement efforts, as well as looked into the design of rewards and performance management systems to drive organizational performance. Under her leadership, Changi Airport Group has been recognized in recent years as an employer of choice through various Employer Brand Awards, and recognized by industry partners, including Union partners, through various other awards. In recognition of her contributions and achievements within the HR industry, Justina was conferred the Institute of Human Resource Professionals Master Professional (IHRP-MP) certification.

Mr Alvin Goh

Alvin is an accomplished international senior business manager with over 20 years’ of experience in the financial and consulting industry where he played key roles in various business and human capital transformation projects that has translated to net bottom line growth of USD100million. He spent the last 7 years in a regional bank covering 15 cities as the Head of Human Capital and Head of CEO Office.
 
Highly adapt at corporate transformation, human capital management and business growth, Alvin enjoys the challenges of solving complex business issues. Both his practical competencies and influential people skills have been well evidenced in various M&A; transformational and corporate development projects that he has personally undertaken. He was also instrumental in conceptualisation & development of a predictive and preventive human capital model that has enabled the identification of talent earlier in their careers and deployment of these talents. As the Executive Director of SHRI, he leads the organisation in partnering government agencies and other HR platforms to drive the adoption of progressive people practices in Singapore through the various academic and advisory services that SHRI provides.
 
Alvin has lived and worked in China, France and Vietnam and has done long term global consulting engagement work where he deepened his international business acumen and an appreciation on the need to have diversity of thought. He obtained his Bachelor of Business from Australia where he graduated with distinction and subsequently, pursued his MBA from the University of Western Australia, Graduate School of Management.

Previously, Meng Hin had also managed operations, logistics, technology and transport management as well as business development.

Tan Seng Chai, IHRP-MP

Tan Seng Chai is currently the Chief Corporate & People Officer of CapitaLand Group. He oversees the Group’s corporate functions including human resource & administration, communications, legal & company secretariat, procurement, and global shared services & business process. His responsibilities also include the Group’s organisation development function, including corporate giving through CapitaLand’s philantrophy arm CapitaLand Hope Foundation. Seng Chai is a member of the CapitaLand Executive Committee.

One of Seng Chai’s key responsibilities is human capital management and development, building talent pipeline and capabilities to support the organisation and businesses including M&A. He is actively involved in senior appointments succession planning and executive compensation to drive sustainable high-performance culture in the organization.  

Seng Chai’s role in CapitaLand group began in leading the human resource function and his responsibilities has been expanded to oversee other corporate support functions in his capacity as the group’s Chief Corporate Officer from 2012.

Before joining CapitaLand in February 2008, Seng Chai was with Chartered Semiconductor Manufacturing Ltd, Singapore for 12 years. He held key positions in the company which included heading its worldwide human resource organisation as well as overseeing key projects implementation and strategic investment activities.

Tan Chee Wei, IHRP-MP

Tan Chee Wei is the Vice President HR for Northeast and Southeast Asia, a region of about 10,000 employees across eight countries, and the CHRO for the Global Lubricants business in Shell, market-leading supplier of lubricants serving customers in over 100 countries across four regions comprising more than 5,000 sales, marketing and supply chain professionals globally.
 
She started her career with Shell Singapore in 2001 and has been based in the UK and Singapore. During her Shell career, Chee Wei has held roles in HR business-partnering, Talent Management, Organisational Development & Change and taken on regional and global strategic HR lead roles across multiple Shell businesses.
 
As Chairman of the Energy & Utilities Group on the Industrial Relations Panel (IRP) for SNEF, Chee Wei is making a positive impact externally through her contributions in workforce development. She is a member of the PME Task Force jointly led by the NTUC and SNEF comprising union and industry representatives from the industrial, service and public sectors and assists with resolving disputes under the Tripartite Mediation Framework as a Tripartite Mediation Advisor.
 
In addition to her Shell experience, Chee Wei has also worked in professional consulting and the Financial Services industry with Accenture, Deutsche Bank and Standard Chartered Bank.
 
Chee Wei holds a BSc Economics Honours degree from The London School of Economics & Political Science, UK, and a Masters in Communications Management from the Singapore Management University.

Yap Aye Wee (IHRP-MP)

Aye Wee is not a classic HR professional, having traversed corporate life with the passion of an intrepid adventurer. She had a 15-year career in Singapore Airlines, building a portfolio of skills through roles in Corporate Sales, Product Innovation and Loyalty Management. She made the leap into the banking industry 14 years ago and has headed up Service Transformation, led a 400-strong team of dedicated Contact Centre professionals across Singapore and Malaysia, dabbled as a Data Protection Officer and is now Head of the OCBC Campus from where she has been developing and testing the blueprint for a Learning Organisation, and of Organisation Development where she is concerned with the future of work, workforce and workplace in Industry 4.0.
 
She believes that lasting change comes through the creation of an ecosystem where employees, corporations and the public service come together to forge thought leadership and create a learning nation. She is advisor to the IHRP Learning and Development Committee and member of the IHRP Professional Practices Committee. She also sits on the IBF Future Skills Accelerator Steering Committee.
 
She also believes that the world was not meant for just humans and is grateful for a bio-diverse home ecosystem teeming with plants, birds, bats, toads, shrews, 3 rabbits and 2 dogs.

Robert Chong has over 30 years of experience in managing the HR function as well as the business transformation for various global companies. In his most recent appointment as the Chief Corporate and Human Resource Officer of Shangri-La Asia, Robert focused on driving Human Resources strategy as well as supporting corporate services to deepen capabilities and enhance synergies across the Group. Robert holds a Bachelor of Art in Sociology from the National University of Singapore and a Master of Business Administration in Accountancy from the Nanyang Technological University. He has also attended the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School and senior leadership programmes at INSEAD (Fontainebleau) and IMD.

Sheela Parakkal was appointed Chief Human Resources Officer of Prudential Singapore in September 2015. In this role, Sheela champions the human capital value chain and leads the HR function to develop and drive people strategies in line with the business goals. This includes building best-in-class HR practices in recruitment, talent and succession planning, reward and recognition programmes.
 
A strong supporter of workplace diversity and inclusion, Sheela has spearheaded several industry-first initiatives such as removing the retirement age at Prudential, and raising the CPF contribution rate for employees above 55 to be on par with younger colleagues. These ground-breaking changes mean that Prudential employees can work at the company for as long as they can perform and are rewarded based on performance.
 
In recognition of her progressive workforce vision, Sheela received the Leadership Award for Age Inclusive Practices at the Tripartite Alliance Awards 2021. She was also named the Best HR Leader at the HR Fest Awards 2019.

Ms Lilian Tan is the Chief Human Capital Officer of SATS. She joined the company in August 2010 as Vice President, Human Capital and was promoted to her current position in April 2012.

Ms Tan was conferred IHRP Master Professional in December 2021 for her leadership role in transforming SATS’ workforce in the face of the pandemic. Under her leadership, SATS has won many accolades for developing people and organisational culture.

Dr. Jaclyn Lee is currently the Chief Human Resources Officer for the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD), where she is responsible for managing the Human Capital and Talent Strategy for the university. She also heads the HR Technology and Analytics Function and for the past 10 years has also worked closely with the President and senior leaders in managing the culture and organization development of the university. Jaclyn also holds an appointment as Senior Fellow with the SUTD Academy where she has trained hundreds of HR professionals in the area of data analytics and HR Digital transformation. For her contributions to public service, she was accorded the Public Administration Medal (Silver) in 2019 by the President of Singapore.
 
Prior to SUTD, she was the Senior Vice President, Group Human Resources, responsible for managing the full spectrum of human resources for CERTIS, a security services company. One of her key achievements there was successfully managing a very difficult wage re-structuring project that involved thousands of workers. Prior to this, she was the Regional HR Director and HR business expert for NEC Solutions Asia Pacific.
 
Jaclyn is currently sitting on the Professional Practices Committee of IHRP, and she is also the Co-COP leader for HR Analytics. She has spoken in more than 150 conferences locally and globally, and is an author of a book entitled, “Accelerating organization culture change”. She is the recipient of several awards including Outstanding Contribution to HR in 2017 and Best HR Leader, SHRI in 2008. She has Masters Degrees from both Rutgers and SMU and a PhD in Information Systems from Twente University in the Netherlands.

Gloria Chin, IHRP-MP

Gloria Chin has almost three decades of HR experience, both in the private and public sectors. She started her career with the Housing & Development Board and the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore before moving to the healthcare industry where she headed the HR function for the National Healthcare Group (NHG) corporate office and thereafter started up a new healthcare cluster, Jurong Health Services (JHS) as its HR Director.

Gloria was HR Director of the National Environment Agency (NEA) from 2011 to 2019. Under her leadership, NEA won more than 40 international and national HR awards and recognition in diversity & inclusion, mature workforce, strategic HR, employee development, employee engagement, workplace health, fair employment and corporate social responsibility. NEA was named the Public Sector Employer of the Year in 2016 by the Human Resources Magazine (Singapore) and clinched the Stevie Gold Award for Employer of the Year (Non-Profit or Government Organisations) in New York in 2018.

Gloria believes in grooming the next generation of HR practitioners. Since 2015, Gloria has been mentoring NUS Arts and Social Sciences undergraduates who are keen in HR as a career. She is also a member of the Public Service Division’s HR Talent Development Committee since 2018. In December 2019, Gloria joined the Ministry of Health overseeing Corporate HR and Corporate Services.

Gloria Chin is a seasoned HR practitioner with almost three decades of experience spanning a spectrum of sectors in the Singapore Public Service including public housing, tax administration and environmental protection. Her achievements cover strategic HR, talent attraction as well as diversity and inclusion. With a heart for low-wage workers, she has contributed substantially to fair employment and mature workforce strategies leading to her being conferred a Medal of Commendation by the National Trade Union Congress in 2019.
 
Prior to her current role overseeing Corporate HR and Corporate Services at the Ministry of Health (MOH), Gloria worked at the National Healthcare Group headquarters from 2007 to 2009 before she started up a new healthcare group, Jurong Health Services from 2009 to 2011. Gloria was five weeks into her current role when the first COVID-19 case landed on Singapore’s shores in January 2020. She steered the corporate functions under her to support MOH which led in the country’s successful COVID-19 pandemic response and management. This included the rapid ramp up and sustenance of workforce capacity and capabilities as well as workforce and workplace business continuity planning and management.
 
Outside of work, Gloria was an active community volunteer with the People’s Association from 2002 to 2012. She was also a Lead Assessor for Business Excellence Award certifications by Enterprise Singapore from 2004 to 2019. Today, she mentors NUS undergraduates who are keen in HR as a career and is also a mentor at the HR Managers Programme run by the Civil Service College. Gloria has been a member of the Singapore Public Service Division’s HR Talent Development Committee since 2018 and is also part of a small elite pool of Master HR Professionals, certified by the Institute of Human Resource Professionals, Singapore.

Angeline is currently the Head of Group Human Resources in CapitaLand Investment Ltd (CLI), where she leads the full suite of HR functions to drive business and talent strategies for the organisation. A keen strategic partner to business leaders, Angeline plays an integral role in the organisation’s transformation – leading global HR teams through mergers and acquisitions, restructures and organisational excellence, cultural and digitisation projects. Beyond CLI, Angeline has held HR leadership and specialist roles in IBM and Singtel, with scopes spanning ASEAN, China, India and Australia.
 
Angeline is proud to be a HR Professional and is passionate about building people. She is a member of the IHRP Professional Practices Committee and volunteers as a Mentor in the NCSS Sector Transformation Mentorship Programme. Angeline graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration from the National University of Singapore.

Arina Koh is Director, Human Resource Department of the Ministry of Manpower, Singapore. Arina is responsible for providing professional and operational leadership in the full spectrum of Human Resources, including overseeing Organisational Development & Excellence in the Ministry.
 
Prior to assuming the Human Resources portfolio, she was with the former National Human Capital Office of the Ministry where she led a team of officers to oversee the Ministry’s initiatives at the national level in building human capital and leadership capabilities for Singapore. She also contributed as a team lead in engaging renowned thought leaders such as Professor Dave Ulrich and Professor Robert Sutton in conducting a CEO roundtable that led to the publication of ‘Asian Leadership : What Works’ as part of the Ministry’s efforts in positioning Singapore as a Global Hub for Human Capital Management and Leadership Development, in Asia, for Asia.
 
Arina graduated from the University of Leicester (UK) with BA (Hons) Economics and a Master of Business Administration. She has worked in both the private and public sectors, specifically in Banking, Training and Development, Workforce Development as well as in the Human Resources. Arina is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development (CIPD), UK and a Senior Assessor of the Institute of HR Professional (IHRP). She has also attained CIPD level 7 (postgraduate) Advanced Award (Merits) in Organisation Development & Design with the CIPD.

Charlton Ong, Vice President, People & Culture and Singapore, is accountable for human capital development for Group Enterprise, the enterprise arm of Singtel Group. Concurrently, he is the country HR lead for Singapore since 2012.
 
Prior to that, he was Vice President of HR for Hewlett-Packard Enterprise, Asia Pacific region. Over the last 30 years in HR, he has also worked for British Telecom and Honeywell, among others MNCs. During his time with Honeywell, he was primarily based in Shanghai where the Asia Pacific HQ was located.
 
Charlton has always been a strong advocate for labour-management relationship. He believes in open and consultative approach and engages the union proactively for views and inputs on any people initiatives, and keeps his opinions open on their suggestions to improve staff welfare. In recognition of his contribution to the labour movement, he was conferred a May Day Award in 2017.
 
In 2019 and 2021, Charlton was IHRP-SP and IHRP-MP certified respectively. He was a senior assessor of IHRP certification papers, as well as member in the IHRP Engagement & Outreach Committee, Assessment & Insights Committee, Body of Competencies Refresh Project Committee and Business and Financial Acumen CoP Taskforce. Last year, he was part of the IHRP-MOM-WSHC project to deep-dive into Mental Wellbeing at Workplaces. Most recently, he was involved in the review of the new preparatory workbooks for Papers B, C and N.
 
Charlton graduated with a Bachelor degree in Business Administration from the University of San Francisco and holds a MBA from the University of Queensland. He was a key member of the ICT Sector Committee, TechSkills Accelerator (TeSA), IMDA between 2016-2021.

As Group Chief of Human Resource for over 20 years at the world’s second largest transport company, ComfortDelGro Corporation Limited, Daisy oversees the HR functions and services in seven countries, including Australia, UK and Ireland, with a global headcount of over 24,000. She is also involved in strategic business matters and a member of the Group’s Transformation Steering Committee.
 
Amongst others, Daisy is a member of the Public Transport Tripartite Committee, Employer Panel of Industrial Arbitration Court and a Tripartite Mediation Advisor. She received the IHRP Master Professional (IHRP-MP) Certification in 2018 in recognition of her significant contributions to the HR community.

In addition to Datuk Nora Manaf’s role as the Group Chief Human Capital Officer and member of the Group EXCO of Maybank, Datuk Nora chairs several national-level committees and holds several Board memberships. Datuk Nora’s Board memberships include the Board of Etiqa General Insurance Berhad and MBB Labs Private Limited, Bangalore.
 
Datuk Nora is actively engaged in the country’s Financial Institutions, Employers’ and Education circles via the leadership roles she holds. In 2018, Datuk Nora was appointed to the Malaysian Human Resource Minister’s Advisory Group. She is also President of the Malayan Commercial Banks’ Association (MCBA), Chairman of the Banking Sector HR Networking Group (HRNG), Council Member of Malaysian Employers Federation (MEF), a member of the National Labour Advisory Committee (NLAC), a council member of Industry Advisory Council (IAC) of Department of Polytechnic & Community College Education (DPCCE), and an Advisory Council Member of Yayasan Peneraju Pendidikan Bumiputera as well as for the University-Industry Advisory Council Universiti Utara Malaysia. Datuk Nora was recognised as a Global Top 50 Human Resource Professional and was appointed into Talent Compact 4.0, an Industry Talent Advisory Panel of Talent Corporation Malaysia Berhad. In 2022, Datuk Nora was appointed into the Board of Trustees, Khazanah Foundation.
 
Datuk Nora is also a Member of the Board of Examiners for the Asia Institute of Chartered Bankers (AICB), Member of the Asia Pacific Industry Advisory Panel for the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) and a Qualified Person for Training (QPRT) for the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW).
 
In 2020, Datuk Nora was appointed as an Adjunct Professor by Pusat Citra Universiti of the National University of Malaysia. She is also an Adjunct Professor appointed by the College of Business, Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) since 2015. In July 2019, Datuk Nora was also appointed into the Board of Advisors for UUM’s undergraduate programme for Bachelor of Applied Linguistics and Business Administration with Honours.
 
Datuk Nora is active in her quest to make a difference to empower women. She is the Executive Sponsor for Maybank’s Women Mentor Women Council established in 2013, as well as a Mentor for the ICAEW-TalentCorp Women in Leadership Programme. In 2016, Datuk Nora was awarded the “Beacon of Light” award at the National Women in Leadership Summit organised by the Asian Strategy & Leadership Institute (ASLI) in partnership with the Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development. Datuk Nora also spoke at the Women in Leadership seminar at Oxford University in 2016. The Singapore Management University (SMU) published a Case Study, titled “Maybank: Organisational Transformation through Human Resources” in collaboration with Datuk Nora in 2019. On 31 March 2021, Datuk Nora was conferred the Top 50 Impact Lifetime Achievement Awards for Women Excellence by KSI Strategic Institute for Asia Pacific.
 
Datuk Nora is a qualified Chartered Accountant and is registered with the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA). Datuk Nora also holds a post-grad certification in Human Resource Development from Cornell University and is a certified Gallup Strengths finder Coach Level II. She is also a graduate of the Advanced Management Program from Harvard Business School. In February 2020, Datuk Nora was conferred the Chartered Banker (CB) by the Chartered Banker Institute (CBI) headquartered in Edinburgh, Scotland.

Deanna Ong is Chief People Officer and Managing Director at GIC, responsible for Human Resource & Organization, and Corporate Governance for the GIC group. GIC is a global investment management company established to manage the foreign reserves of the Government of Singapore, investing in public equities, fixed income, real estate, private equity and infrastructure assets.
 
As Chief People Officer, Deanna oversees people strategy to attract, develop and retain talent for enterprise performance, seeded with the right values and culture for GIC. As part of the Group Executive Committee, her areas of focus include talent strategy, leadership development, reward and engagement for organization effectiveness. As Company Secretary, she oversees corporate governance and client relations.
 
Deanna was previously Director Finance from 2009 to 2014, where she headed the Finance Group responsible for financial management across GIC’s portfolio, covering financing arrangements for assets, tax planning, investment holding structures, accounting and management of revenue and expenditure.
 
Deanna is a board member of Swiss Re Ltd, and an advisory board member of Nanyang Business School. She holds a Bachelor of Accountancy from the Nanyang Technological University of Singapore and completed the Stanford Executive Programme.
