Description

The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) reports to the General Manager (GM) of Jurong Port Tank Terminals Pte Ltd (JPTT) and will work closely with JPTT’s joint venture partners’ Human Resource (HR) Teams at Jurong Port (JP) and Oiltanking Singapore (OT). This is a generalist and business partner role covering the full spectrum of HR operations and admin functions. The role entails the effective delivery and execution of HR programmes and initiatives that closely support the goals of JPTT.  

Responsibilities
  • Oversee full spectrum of HR and administration
  • Oversee and partner with all HODs on the Learning and Development function for the business
  • Support the GM on managing the overall manpower cost for JPTT, including staff cost budget and headcount planning, and administration cost budget
  • Conduct recruitment for all levels
  • Coach and support all level staff including HODs on hiring process and needed skills
  • Resolve management and employee relations issues
  • Engagement with Union representatives on union matters
  • Lead the Performance Appraisal cycle and advise all HODs in accordance with guidance from JP Group
  • Provide advisory to the Board of Directors and General Manager for decisions on all HR matters
  • Ensure that inputs to payroll are accurate and payroll is correctly executed
  • Coordinate the quarterly board meeting, monthly HR meeting, monthly/quarterly management reports
  • Undertake any other tasks/projects assigned by the General Manager
  • Ensure JPTT HR policies are consistent with JP policies and in compliance to all applicable statutes and corporate governance
Qualifications
  • Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with at least 5 years of relevant experience as a HR generalist or BP.  A specialization in Human Resource Management (HRM) will be advantageous.
  • Experience in the local Oil and Gas industry is preferred
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong leadership skills, good analytical skills and ability to understand operational considerations
  • Experience in cost and budget management and planning will be advantageous
  • Thrive in dynamic and challenging situations and take responsibility for decisions made
  • Ability to understand and manage cultural diversity of workforce and stakeholders
  • Knowledge of HRIS system
  • Sound knowledge of applicable legislation (Employment Act)
  • IHRP Certification Preferred
