As part of the Learning & Development team, the incumbent is responsible for initiating, developing, and implementing learning plans, development of training curriculum and courseware, and delivery of training that meets required development needs of staff.
- As a Learning Partner, engage with the Technical Services division’s subject matter experts and/or external vendors to achieve defined training, learning and development objectives and expectations of the various curriculums.
- Design and develop engaging technical curriculum and programs for different skill levels of port engineering staff from the Technical Services division.
- Partner closely with various stakeholders to ensure the developed curriculum meets learning outcomes and standards.
- Conduct training and assessment for port engineering staff.
- Manage and administer to training requests of technical services division staff via learning management system.
- Assist in accreditation of the developed curriculum as required.
- Experience in training delivery and instructional design for technical courses.
- Demonstrate knowledge of best practices in curriculum design, adult learning principles and effective assessment strategies in the design of curriculum.
- Experience in maintenance of port equipment and/or heavy equipment preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem solving and project management skills.
- Strong communication skills, with good ability to build strong working relationships with employees and external parties.
- Possess an Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment (ACTA) or Advanced Certificate in Learning and Performance (ACLP) and/or Diploma in Adult and Continuing Education (DACE) preferred.
- Preferably Degree holder in electrical or mechanical Engineering, with at least 3 years of relevant work experience in training and/or curriculum development.
- IHRP Certification Preferred
