IHRP Value & Impact 2024: Leveraging Skills Badges to Empower HR Excellence

Over the past few years, non-traditional qualifications have gained traction as a means to demonstrate mastery of particular skills. This research aimed to gauge the perceived significance of IHRP Skills Badges among HR professionals, business leaders, and recruiters. In collaboration with Milieu Insights, an independent research agency, we undertook a month-long survey targeting these stakeholders. Our goal was to delve into the perceived advantages and diverse perspectives surrounding IHRP Skills Badges.

Key Insights:

  • 89% of respondents agree that Skills Badges are important to validate their areas of expertise.
  • A higher proportion of respondents perceived skills badges to bring value in improving one’s employment and professional career outcomes, as compared to other more personal motivations.
  • For Skills Badges to add value to employees as well as employers, both parties need to be aware of how they can effectively leverage these badges.
